What porcelain veneers can do
Veneers transform the front surface of your teeth. They can close small gaps, smooth chipped or worn edges, lengthen short teeth and give you a brightness that whitening alone can't reach — all while looking like natural enamel.
Porcelain is what makes them look real. Light passes through it the way it passes through your own enamel, and it keeps its color and shine for years. That depth is the difference between a smile that looks done and one that simply looks beautiful.
Designed for your face
A beautiful smile isn't a row of perfect white rectangles. It's teeth in proportion to your face, your lips and the way you smile when you laugh. Dr. Rodriguez studies all of it and plans your veneers to suit you, not a template.
Your veneers are made with our in-house ceramist, who works here in the office. The shape, the length and the subtle shifts of color from edge to gum line are worked out for you.
A healthy foundation first
Veneers last longest on healthy teeth and gums, so any decay or gum problems are treated first, and if you grind your teeth we'll protect your new smile with a night guard. Sometimes a little whitening or Invisalign beforehand means fewer veneers are needed — we'll plan the order with you.

How it works
Consultation and records
We talk about the smile you'd like, examine your teeth and gums, and take photos and records of your smile and bite.
Design
Your new teeth are designed on a model of your mouth with our in-house ceramist, around the proportions of your face.
Preparation and temporaries
The teeth are prepared under local anesthesia, and you wear temporaries while the final veneers are made.
Fitting
The porcelain veneers are tried in, checked for fit, color and bite, and then bonded in place. We see you again afterward to check how they feel.
Living with veneers
Brush and floss as usual and keep your regular cleanings. Porcelain resists staining, so your color stays bright; just keep the edges where it meets your tooth clean. Avoid biting very hard objects, and if you grind your teeth, wear a night guard. With good care, veneers last many years; like any restoration they may eventually need to be replaced.
