Checkups and cleanings

A regular visit includes a professional cleaning, an exam by Dr. Rodriguez and the X-rays you need. He looks at your teeth, gums, bite and the soft tissues of your mouth, shows you what he sees, and tells you plainly what needs attention now, what can wait, and what doesn't need anything at all.

If you don't have dental insurance, our membership plan covers two cleanings, two exams and two sets of X-rays a year.

Restoring and refining your smile

  • Porcelain crowns — for teeth that are cracked, heavily filled or weakened, made with our in-house ceramist to match the shape and color of your other teeth.
  • Dental implants — a fixed replacement for a missing tooth, planned on a 3D scan taken here in the office.
  • Porcelain veneers — to change the shape, length and color of the teeth that show when you smile.
  • Professional whitening — in the office, on its own or as part of a smile design plan.
  • Invisalign — clear aligners to straighten your teeth.

Fillings, extractions and urgent problems are taken care of here too — and on Friday evenings and weekends, there's Perla After Hours.

If you're nervous about the dentist

You're not alone, and you won't be judged for how long it's been. We go at your pace, explain each step before we do it, and stop whenever you need. For longer or more involved treatment, ask about sedation options.

FAQs

How often should I have a checkup?
Most people do well with a cleaning and exam twice a year. Some need visits more often, for example with gum problems or implants. Dr. Rodriguez will tell you what makes sense for you.
Do you see children?
Yes, patients of every age. A parent or legal guardian comes with anyone under 18.
I haven't been to the dentist in years. Where do I start?
Book a regular visit. We'll start with an exam and X-rays, tell you what we find without judgment, and plan from there at your pace.
Do you take my insurance?
We're out of network for now and submit claims as a courtesy. Without insurance, ask about our membership plan. See Insurance & membership.
